Deep Tissue Affects
the deeper structures of the muscle and connective tissue of the body. Deep work is slow and methodical. It can relieve painful
conditions and injuries that other methods may never address simply because the touch goes deeper and I can "get to"
the source of the pain.
Trigger Point Therapy Trigger points are "knots" in the
muscles. They can cause pain exactly where they are located or they can refer pain elsewhere. Knots can cause muscles to shorten
and spasm around them, thus creating pain and/or a chronically tight feeling.
Treatment involves locating a trigger
point and then touching it with sustained pressure. This eventually releases the trigger point and, after one treatment or
more, can erase it completely.
Sports Massage For athletes and other active people involved
in physical activities, sports massage can be used to help with warm up, training, post-event body care and maintenance.
